Wow has the time flew. Where has Jaunrary, February, and March went? I cannot believe there is only two more months of school left then i'm a senior!! WOW! How exciting, yet so sad at the same time. I'm not ready to be an adult. Life is such a journey, and i can not wait to see what it has in store for me!

Personality
Isn’t funny how kids act when they’re around their friends? If you have ever realized this, then you would think it is hilarious. Where do they even come up with some of the things that they do or say? Really! When I see my little nephew with his friends they say the craziest things. Although it is real, real funny and cute, I just can’t help but wonder where they get some of their ideas from. One thing they all have in common is to dance. And there is no doubt, they all can. They do some moves that I’ve never even seen before. They can even dance like Michael Jackson, and they’re only five! Sometimes I’ll even be listening to music with my niece and even though she can’t talk too clear yet, I can already hear her mumbling the words to it. My niece, already, is a fan of Lady GaGa, and if she hears her song, and someone turns it on, boy does she get angry! Its amazing how they already know things like people, music, and dance moves at their young ages.

Time!
Sometimes I wonder where all the time has went. The other day, I went to my sisters house to see a surprise. I walked in and my sister tells me that my little baby, had been using the real, actual toilet, all by herself. Of course I was so happy, because now I don’t have to change the stinky diapers anymore. But honestly I was real sad as well. My little girl is growing up. I know its easier when they grow up a little bit, but seeing them grow up makes me realizes that I’m growing up as well. Now I know how my mom feels whenever she sees pictures of me when I was little. Time is the most precious thing we have, and we really shouldn’t put it to waste! Pretty soon I’m going to be graduating, and my niece will already be in school. This is the first time I’ve seen kids actually grow up in front of my eyes, and honestly, I do not like it one bit! I can’t believe how fast time flies!!

Wrestling
This week my nephew started wrestling. This showed me a lot. Not only did it show me that he is growing up, but it showed me that he has more courage then he used to. He used to be so shy and now, he changed. He’s not the little tyke that he used to be. Now he is so much more grown up and not afraid to be himself. I’m really glad he is actually coming out of his little shell and showing more of his personality. Although wrestling is a tough sport, he loves everything about it. I cannot wait to go watch him for the first time. Even though I’ll be real scared watching, I’ll always support him no matter what kind of sports he decides to play.
Life
Yesterday I started volunteering at the nursing home and the people there really made me think of kids. When were little we do not really know how to do things, so we get taught. Through our whole life we still continue to learn. But as I saw the residents at the nursing home I saw that life comes and goes fast. I spend so much time with little kids that I sometimes feel like I’m still one. Although I’ m seventeen years old, I feel like I’m still a kid. I sometimes feel that I’m never going to grow up and never actually be an adult. Then when I saw the people at the nursing home I saw pictures in some of the client’s rooms of when they were young, and now all that is just a memory. It’s sad to know that most of these people do not even remember all the fun times they had in their life. I learned to take life seriously but with a lot of laughs and fun because all of it will be taken away from us one day.

Sleep Overs!!

So this past weekend my nephew spent the night at my house and we had a blast! Not only did we play games, ate, and laughed at the silliest things, he also danced. A LOT! My sister and I would put on a song and he would dance. It was pretty fun watching him because the things he was doing were unforgettable. We then played I Spy and he was better at that game then I was. That next night as I was getting ready for bed I remembered all the fun that we had and I missed him. Even though he is only five years old he really does know how to have fun without being annoying. Spending the whole night with him taught me so many things. One thing he showed me was that you can have fun doing anything. Usually people in high school think they have to have fun by drinking or drugs, which is really pathetic. You don’t always have to be under the influence just to have fun, and if you do have to, you must be REALLY boring!

Toys Are Never Enough..
Wal-Mart, or as I call it, Wally, is such a crazy place. Last night I went there with my nephew and as normal, he wanted a toy. How many toys can a kid possibly have and still want more? Well obviously, the answer to that is that a kid could never have enough toys. The first place we went was straight to the toy aisle. After we went through each aisle a billion times, he still wasn’t ready to leave. Not only does he already have all the toys there, he still makes up an excuse to why he should get some more. “I don’t have that one, I mean I did but sister broke it after I told her not to touch it.” How many times have we heard this one? I’ve heard it so many times that now when we go to the store, I could probably predict everything he is going to say. The funny thing is that even though we know they have that toy already, we still get them another one. We do the funniest things for kids, don’t we?
