Time!!!
Wow has the time flew. Where has Jaunrary, February, and March went? I cannot believe there is only two more months of school left then i'm a senior!! WOW! How exciting, yet so sad at the same time. I'm not ready to be an adult. Life is such a journey, and i can not wait to see what it has in store for me!

Personality
Isn’t funny how kids act when they’re around their friends? If you have ever realized this, then you would think it is hilarious. Where do they even come up with some of the things that they do or say? Really! When I see my little nephew with his friends they say the craziest things. Although it is real, real funny and cute, I just can’t help but wonder where they get some of their ideas from. One thing they all have in common is to dance. And there is no doubt, they all can. They do some moves that I’ve never even seen before. They can even dance like Michael Jackson, and they’re only five! Sometimes I’ll even be listening to music with my niece and even though she can’t talk too clear yet, I can already hear her mumbling the words to it. My niece, already, is a fan of Lady GaGa, and if she hears her song, and someone turns it on, boy does she get angry! Its amazing how they already know things like people, music, and dance moves at their young ages.

Time!
Sometimes I wonder where all the time has went. The other day, I went to my sisters house to see a surprise. I walked in and my sister tells me that my little baby, had been using the real, actual toilet, all by herself. Of course I was so happy, because now I don’t have to change the stinky diapers anymore. But honestly I was real sad as well. My little girl is growing up. I know its easier when they grow up a little bit, but seeing them grow up makes me realizes that I’m growing up as well. Now I know how my mom feels whenever she sees pictures of me when I was little. Time is the most precious thing we have, and we really shouldn’t put it to waste! Pretty soon I’m going to be graduating, and my niece will already be in school. This is the first time I’ve seen kids actually grow up in front of my eyes, and honestly, I do not like it one bit! I can’t believe how fast time flies!!

Wrestling
This week my nephew started wrestling. This showed me a lot. Not only did it show me that he is growing up, but it showed me that he has more courage then he used to. He used to be so shy and now, he changed. He’s not the little tyke that he used to be. Now he is so much more grown up and not afraid to be himself. I’m really glad he is actually coming out of his little shell and showing more of his personality. Although wrestling is a tough sport, he loves everything about it. I cannot wait to go watch him for the first time. Even though I’ll be real scared watching, I’ll always support him no matter what kind of sports he decides to play.
Life
Yesterday I started volunteering at the nursing home and the people there really made me think of kids. When were little we do not really know how to do things, so we get taught. Through our whole life we still continue to learn. But as I saw the residents at the nursing home I saw that life comes and goes fast. I spend so much time with little kids that I sometimes feel like I’m still one. Although I’ m seventeen years old, I feel like I’m still a kid. I sometimes feel that I’m never going to grow up and never actually be an adult. Then when I saw the people at the nursing home I saw pictures in some of the client’s rooms of when they were young, and now all that is just a memory. It’s sad to know that most of these people do not even remember all the fun times they had in their life. I learned to take life seriously but with a lot of laughs and fun because all of it will be taken away from us one day.

Sleep Overs!!

So this past weekend my nephew spent the night at my house and we had a blast! Not only did we play games, ate, and laughed at the silliest things, he also danced. A LOT! My sister and I would put on a song and he would dance. It was pretty fun watching him because the things he was doing were unforgettable. We then played I Spy and he was better at that game then I was. That next night as I was getting ready for bed I remembered all the fun that we had and I missed him. Even though he is only five years old he really does know how to have fun without being annoying. Spending the whole night with him taught me so many things. One thing he showed me was that you can have fun doing anything. Usually people in high school think they have to have fun by drinking or drugs, which is really pathetic. You don’t always have to be under the influence just to have fun, and if you do have to, you must be REALLY boring!

Toys Are Never Enough..
Wal-Mart, or as I call it, Wally, is such a crazy place. Last night I went there with my nephew and as normal, he wanted a toy. How many toys can a kid possibly have and still want more? Well obviously, the answer to that is that a kid could never have enough toys. The first place we went was straight to the toy aisle. After we went through each aisle a billion times, he still wasn’t ready to leave. Not only does he already have all the toys there, he still makes up an excuse to why he should get some more. “I don’t have that one, I mean I did but sister broke it after I told her not to touch it.” How many times have we heard this one? I’ve heard it so many times that now when we go to the store, I could probably predict everything he is going to say. The funny thing is that even though we know they have that toy already, we still get them another one. We do the funniest things for kids, don’t we?

The Weather
I really hate the weather when it’s cold. It makes me feel sad and just makes me want to stay in all day. But yesterday wasn’t the warmest day and my nephew taught me a lesson. He showed me that no matter the weather, you can’t let it ruin your day. Even though its cold, he still always likes to play outside, since he loves being outdoors so much. This taught me that just because the sun isn’t always shining, I can’t let that ruin my whole day. I still have to look at all the other positive things too.
Special Gift
What is love? Love is so powerful. Without it the world wouldn’t be in the condition it is today. For Valentines Day my nephew made me a paper heart with the number ten. Then ten represented how much he loved me. To him ten is a lot, since it takes up both hands. And he put the number ten on the heart to show that he had a lot of love in his heart for me. I thought it was the cutest idea. Although the entire gift was a piece of paper it really meant a lot. I know he loves me but the little present just made the cherry on top of my Valentines Day.

No Trouble, No Problem!
Kids. Kids. Kids. Can’t live with them, but we can’t live without them, right? I really hate fighting with them and getting mad at them. Whenever they do something wrong I feel so horrible telling them they’re in trouble. But in the end, it usually pays off because then they won’t do it again. I know that they’re young and they still need to learn right from wrong, but I think there is a way of teaching them this without actually punishing them. Whenever I’m in charge and they do something bad then I have a talk with them first. If they do it again then the consequences are bigger. I don’t enjoy being yelled at or yelling at anyone so I try my best to keep my temper down. Most of the time they’re pretty good for me which is the best thing because then we can all have a good time without anyone in trouble!!!

Sleep Overs!
The nights you get to spend the night with a little brother, cousin, niece, or nephew are the best. My niece and nephew have only stayed the night at my house once, or twice. I’ve stayed at their house plenty of times. Most of the time, I’m doing some babysitting. But it’s always the silliest and funniest times that we have. My niece goes to bed earlier then we do because she is still pretty young. But when I put her to sleep, my nephew and I always share the craziest times. It’s almost as if we get a closer bond then we already have. The little things we both giggle about and the little comments he says as were laying down watching TV are the best moments. Usually when I’m babysitting I hate getting mad at the both of them so they normally always act and behave well, which is a good thing. But these are the nights that I wouldn’t trade for the world. I mean yeah, it’s good to go out with your friends and stuff but even the nights I spend with these two kids could never beat hanging out with friends. Nothing in the world is better then hanging out with the two kids you would do anything for!

Laughs & Food! :)
Cooking. No one likes to do it. And honestly, I really don’t either. But today, was a real different experience of cooking for me. I actually really enjoyed it. The only reason I had so much fun was because I had the best three people in the world helping me. These three people included my sister, nephew, and my niece. I really don’t know how I had such a fun time cooking with these two children because usually I really hate when I have to babysit them while I’m trying to help my sister make food. But today was real different. We laughed about the silliest things and got done cooking faster then we normally do. They also both had their Valentines Day party at school so we all dug in their candy bags and got a little carried away with all the candy they had. I never realized how addicted to candy that kids could be. With all the sugar that was in them, it got them in the best moods and it was the best. Seeing their smiles really made me happy, I’m glad that I got to spend a few hours with them cause we had an experience that I’ll never forget!

Growing Up
Everyone in life grows up. We all die, and thats part of life. My mom always talks to me about how she misses when my sisters and I were little, and I never understood why. But as I see these two young kids growing up I began to understand where my mom is coming from. These years where they're young and fun are the years were going to remember most. Of course, we will always remember everything they do but their younger years are the most memorable. As they get older and older they are coming more aware of things that are happening around them, which is a good thing. But honestly, I love their brains and how they think when they have their own opinion on things. What I love the most is how they are pretty much in their own little world and as they grow older they come out of it. Their unique little thoughts, actions, and words are really the best things kids are so unique about. They are what i live for everday and the little things they do in life really give my life meaning. Of course i want them to grow up, but these are the little moments that i live for and i will never forget them.

Kids and People
What would life be without the little moments we share with kids? Life wouldn't be life without them, i think. The first time you exprience conversastions with little ones, share toys,or even just share a few seconds with them i'm sure it was fun and memorable. Little kids say the funniest things even when they aren't trying to be funny. The way they move their eyes, show their teeth when they smile, and walk and run is also cute because they have their own way of doing it. We all do these type of things everyday but when they do it, it leaves a mark on our hearts. Why is this? I really have no idea why this is but when i see kids, I automatically smile. Young kids really bring personality to life and i sometimes wish that everyone could be like this. With these little people i feel like they understand me the best even though they're little and the best thing about them is that they don't judge you. I know this could be weird but I think if there were nothing but little kids in the world there would be a lot more love.

The Best Medicine!
Sometimes the littlest things makes me happiest. These past few days i've had my wisdom teeth taken out. And believe me, it is not fun one bit! But its when your in pain whe people start doing the nicest things for you. As for my niece and nephew i didn't get the chance to see them the day of the surgery which made me really sad. But luckily, I did get to talk to them over the phone. I think its the best gift I could ever ask for. Being in pain, not eating, just feeling miserable two little voices really made my heart smile. They, by far, are the best medicine that made me feel the best. Just in the few minutes that i did get to speak to them it was like my mouth didn't hurt and my headache went away. My nephew also said the day before I got my teeth pulled that he was going to draw me a picture to help me get better. Who knows if i'll actually get the picture but just the thought of him saying that to me really let me know that he does care for me. Theres no better feeling in the world knowing that you have two little angels behind you in everything that you do. Especially knowing that they love you as much as you love them!

SMILE!!

Theres nothing better in this world then happiness. There are people in the world that seem to find no happiness in anything they do. In my opinion, if your not going to be happy in life and enjoy it, what is that point of even living? Theres not really a reason to live to find the negative things in the world. In fact, thats boirng. As I see my nephew and niece, I ALWAYS notice they find the happiness in everything. Even the little things that they do. As teenagers, we hate being home. We always want to be doing something interesting with our friends, never just sit at home. But with these two kids its different. They're favorite place to be is at home, that way they can be free. To them, their home is a park. They have all their toys, games, and the best invention yet, the wii. They even have all of their favorite snacks. Being at home is the best place to be for them. Its amazing to me how no matter where they go or what they do, they always do it with a smile. Its really showed me that I should live with the kind of attitude they do since life doesn't last forever. And when my life is almost at the end, I won't have to wish that I could have smiled more then I was mad.

What is love?

When you hear the word love what do you think? The feeling is always different to each of us. When I hear that four lettered word, my heart beats faster then normal. But what really makes my heart jump is when someone tells you they love you, and they actually mean it.
We love certain things differently. For example we love our phones and our parents in two complete different ways, hopefully. But one thing that is a little interesting is that I love my niece and nephew in a different way then I love my parents. Of course I love them all so, so much. Its still completely different.
When these two kids were first born, I automatically fell in love with every little detail about them. I didn't even know who they were but I still loved them with all my heart. No matter what these kids seem to do they have my heart and I feel as if everytime I seem them, I fall more and more in love with them. Its amazing that even though they're only a few years old, they've taught me a whole new level of what love really is.

No Dreading School!
I wake up in the morning and i dread going to school everyday! Sometimes I look forward to it but most of the time, i'm not. I really hate when people go to school in bad moods everyday so i try to not be that person. Finally, its the end of the day and my mom tells me to go pick up my little nephew from school. Usually I love to go because hes always so happy when hes at school and i love to watch him and all of his little friends play.
So,as I go in and see all of the toys they play with and the books that they read, I really wish that i was his age again. So that I could go to school with all of the little five year olds and play games with them. But as i leave the school talking to my nephew, once again he teaches me something new. He tells me he loves school and hes always is so excited to go. Not only does he love to learn but he loves the fact that he gets to learn with the people that he calls his "best buddies". He showed me that you should make school fun even if you don't want to be there, since we have to be there anyways. Isn't it funny how a little guy in preschool can really teach you something?

Lessons
Its amazing how children really make a difference. No matter what they do, they seem to always get a smile on your face. Bad, sad, depressed, or even just not in the mood to talk to anyone they always seem to turn your day around somehow. As i live each day with these two kids, they teach me incredible life lessons. But the best one they've taught me so far is that you can find happiness in every little thing you do.
